Broken Social Scene's latest Forgiveness Rock Record due out May 4 is receiving lots of hype and buzz and a lot of people are unimpressed and cynical about it. I am not one of them. So, it's typical BSS? Who says a band has to reinvent their sound with every album release? It may lack some of the subtlety of You Forgot It in People and will undoubtedly be a hit at the outdoor music fests, but it's still a pretty decent album overall.
Texico Bitches is cute and All to All is a perfect spring tune. Other highlights for me include Forced to Love, Meet Me in The Basement, Sentimental Xs, and Sweetest Kill.
